Medical Support and Therapy Services
AMOR ensures that children with disabilities, particularly those with cerebral palsy and mobility challenges, receive essential medical care and regular therapy. The organization facilitates access to services at public health facilities such as JOOTRH, Kisumu County Referral Hospital, and Gita Sub-County Hospital.
Provision of Assistive Devices
The organization supports children with disabilities by providing assistive devices like wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids. These tools help improve the children's independence and enable them to participate more actively in everyday activities.
Inclusive Education and Skill Development
AMOR advocates for and facilitates access to inclusive education for children with disabilities. The organization also empowers caregivers and older children through vocational training and capacity-building activities, helping them gain practical skills for self-reliance.
Counseling and Psychosocial Support
Recognizing the emotional burden faced by families, AMOR offers counseling sessions for caregivers of children with disabilities. These sessions provide emotional support, coping strategies, and a safe space for sharing experiences.
